When will the youth centre be opened?

The opening of the youth centre will depend on fundraising and construction timelines of the base building. Once this phase of construction is completed, it will be accessible to youth. Any subsequent expansion and future program development will be based on availability of financial support.

Who will the youth centre be for?

Our programs will be geared toward teens between the ages of 13-20 yrs. Separate program times are likely to be available for younger teens and older teens.

What kinds of programs will be offered?

Some of the potential programs that we look forward to offering include, but are not limited to, life skills development, mentorship, tutoring, food programs, faith-building, community volunteerism, entrepreneurship and fun activities. It's based on what is determined as the needs and resources of the community.

Will it cost money to attend?

There will be no cost to the youth or their families for attendance at events or drop-in times. We will encourage youth and their families to participate in working around the property to foster shared responsibility for the facility and grounds.

Will you be partnering with local schools?

The hope is that this centre will be supported by the community in various ways. We look forward to working with the school administrators, teachers and students.

We are currently a not-for-profit working toward obtaining charitable status with the CRA. If you would like to offer a pledge to make your future donation eligible for a future tax receipt, please contact us here.

Is this a religious institution?

This is not a religious institution and people of all faiths are welcome. However, we will be offering programs, coaching and encouragement from a Christian perspective.

Will parental permission be required to access the centre?

Yes, youth will need permission from their parents/guardians to participate in events and drop-in times.
